At SRSA Commercial Real Estate, some properties become part of the firm’s story in more ways than one. For Stephanie Boyd, and Sandra Corrigan, 2400 Veterans Blvd is one of those places.
More than 25 years ago, the two pursued the opportunity to represent the Xerox property for sale. It was no easy task. Xerox, a Fortune 500 company, had concerns about potential conflicts of interest. To many, that might have been the end of the conversation. For Stephanie and Sandra, it was the beginning of a challenge.
Over a Thanksgiving weekend, Stephanie and Sandra traveled to upstate New York and made their way to a corporate meeting in Connecticut. Armed with persistence and a little southern charm, they convinced the company that SRSA was the right team for the assignment. Back in New Orleans, Stephanie and Sandra, along with then property manager Stacy DesPlas, put together one of the most elaborate sales packages the firm had ever produced. The result was a successful deal that left Xerox confident in their choice.
Today, the story has come full circle. SRSA is once again representing 2400 Veterans Blvd, now on behalf of owner Steve Medo. This time, Stephanie, Sandra, and the team have brought the building from 61% occupancy to 85%, with leases out that will further add to the total. In just this round, approximately 31,767 square feet have been leased.
