SRSA Commercial Real Estate recently completed the 201 Bourbon Street investment sale within weeks of listing. The French Quarter building sold to Lata Family Investments, LLC.
Barry Spizer of SRSA represented the seller, The Arlene and Joseph Meraux Charitable Foundation. The property is located at the corner of Bourbon and Iberville Streets. Barry immediately shared the property with the firm’s investor list, which drew offers from multiple interested parties. It was under contract within days and closed in less than 60 days.
“A property like this is one-of-a-kind, and the investors in our network recognized that right away,” said Barry. “Relationships built over the years are what make a result like this possible.”
The approximately 196-year-old building, formerly leased to Mango Mango Daiquiris, is the first bar on Bourbon Street. A balcony overlooking the street extends from the second-floor banquet room. Together with the ground-floor bar and third-floor offices, the building totals about 6,500 square feet. Lata Family Investments plans to lease out the property.
The property sits one block off Canal Street in the French Quarter, the oldest neighborhood in New Orleans. Bourbon Street draws visitors from around the world, and Galatoire’s Restaurant is just down the block. Hard Rock Cafe, Dickie Brennan’s Bourbon House, Felix’s Restaurant & Oyster Bar, and GW Fins are within walking distance. Jackson Square and St. Louis Cathedral are also a short walk away. They reflect the centuries of history that make this area one of the most recognized in the country.
This 201 Bourbon Street sale reflects the relationship-driven approach SRSA brings to every transaction. As the firm celebrates its 35th anniversary, that approach remains central to how it serves clients. Ready to explore your own investment opportunity? Reach out to our team at (504) 831-2363.
