Stephanie Boyd of SRSA Real Estate represented the seller in the $2,900,000 sale of 5029 Veterans Blvd, a 100% leased retail center in Metairie. The seller, The Decorator Shoppe, Inc., owned the property.
Chen Brothers, LLC purchased the property as an investment. The team included Dan "Candy" Yang of Candy Realty, LLC and David da Cunha of Property One, who was instrumental in bringing the property to 100% occupancy. As a result, the new ownership plans to keep the center's tenant mix intact, preserving the stability that made the property such a strong opportunity.
In total, the center has five tenants including Subway and Cedar Market, a Mediterranean grocery, filling the 15,000-square-foot building. Full occupancy, paired with steady, built-in rent growth, made it a competitive retail listing on the market this year.
"We saw an enormous amount of interest in this property because it was 100% leased and offered such strong value-add potential," said Stephanie.
The property sits along one of Metairie's strongest retail corridors, directly across from Zuppardo's Family Market. It's also near the Veterans Blvd and Clearview Pkwy interchange, giving tenants and customers easy access to I-10.
